Bio
Perry was a Senior Pastor for twelve years before retiring to go into full time writing. He spent an insurmountable amount of time in hospitals praying for the sick and shut in. Perry felt that with prayer, and specifically if he prayed, the healing anointing that he had would transfer to the person. Perry believed if he laid hands on them, they would recover. In addition, he is married to a doctor who likewise spends more than half of her life caring for the sick
Perry felt that these two combos would almost guarantee a complete recovery from any ailment. It didn't take long to discover a painful reality. Despite having a good doctor and a good pastor lay hands and pray, some recovered and some did not. This troubled him to the core
Why God? Why? Why did this person get completely healed and the other person die? Why after years of doctors and years of praying, did this person lose their grip on life?
These questions led Perry to extensively study each person, case, or patient that he encountered. During this 12-year study, he began doing a comparative analysis between the ones healed and the ones not. “As I was studying the patients, I also began to look to the Bible for answers as I always do”. Says Perry.
“What was the secret ingredient to healing? What was I missing? Was I not praying right? I even examined my own life. Before I prayed for people. I needed to ensure that my life was in order with the purpose of God”. Perry began exhaustively studying Jesus and the people he healed. “I was looking for a pattern that I could mimic and imitate. This way I could increase the rate of success in the people I prayed for”.
This is when it hit HIM.
He discovered that healing is “A 3-man team”. (1) Doctors, (2) God, (3) Self. The overwhelming majority of the patience healed did not just rely on the Doctors. They did not simply prayer and invite God into the process. The ones that were healed did their part as well. They exhibited specific traits, characteristics, and attributes that led to their recovery. The ones that were not healed failed to do their part.
